What a wonderful country.
You were fantastic in arranging the boat for us; very helpful, knowledgeable and timely. The boat worked just fine and was as advertised. Few nits (anchor did not hold all that well, water pressure in one of heads not great) but to be expected in a slightly older (2003) charter boat. Have already recommended the trip to at least 10 people and will definitely think about coming back again in a few years (maybe once the dollar gets stronger.......).

Hi,

All of us who took part in the Charter would like to compliment the professional and ease of chartering a yacht with you. Everything went really well and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Only have one comment. These boats are not suitable for 9 people to sleep. The 2 forward berths can not fit a normal adult in them. We ended up creating a spare bed in the galley/dining area for the trip. Apart form this, it was amazing! we had a blast.

Back in business again. The vacation were to short.
Your job and service were very good.
The check in was very smoothly. Your colleagues in the marina did a good job. The transportations worked very well. The complains where on the boat. Two of three toilets were not working good. And the bow thruster are to weak, or mounted to high compare to the waterline. The refrigerator were not working well. I told the guy when we checked out.
But in the total we are very satisfied.

Sve je bilo OK, Sanja nam je pomogla najbolje što je mogla, ekipa u marini je bila super, brodovi istotako, čak je i vrijeme bilo odlično, sa baš onoliko vjetra koliko smo trebali. Barem je tako bilo u prvoj rundi, dakle od subote do utorka, a koliko sam čuo i druga grupa je bila sasvim OK, osim jednodnevne totalne bonace....
Najbole je bilo to, da smo upoznali dve sasvim nove lokacije Krapanj i Maslinica na Šolti, gdje još nisam bio, a oboje je zaista bilo super.
Dakle još jednom hvala za dobru organizaciju i nadam se, da čemo slično nešto napraviti i sledeče godine.

Sve je bilo ok, ovo agencijo znam več od prije, ekipa je super. Brodovi završavajo sezono tako da znamo kakva je situacija krajem sezone. Ali imali su sasvim nova jedra tako da je bilo sve ok. Vaša usluga isto je odlična tako da, još se čujemo.

Dear Mirjana:
We had a wonderful time with the charter! To start with, when we came to board the boat Marco told us that there was a problem with the Oceanis 331 that we had booked and that he was giving us a First 36.7 instead. This was good news as my daughter was worried how we would accommodate six people on the smaller boat. The First was a very fast sailer - we passed all boats that were sailing in the same direction as we were. It was in good condition with only a few minor deficiencies, such as the knot meter and VHF radio not working.
As I say, these are minor items. The boat was suitably equipped for cruising and well rigged.
The staff at Fortunal were very helpful. We were able to store excess luggage in their premises to minimize what we took aboard. They were ready to help with any of our needs.
The weather started warm but cooled off after the first day. It was warm enough for us to swim in a few locations. We loved the water. We had strong winds much of the time, gusts up to 30 knts, and spent an extra day in Vrboska because of winds. All of us enjoyed very much the opportunity to see a bit of Croatia. I hope we will have an opportunity to visit again.
Thanks for the communications over the months leading up to the charter. I appreciate that we were able to get responses to our questions quickly with a minimum of fuss.

We had a wonderful time sailing the Dalmation Coast from Dubrovnik to Split on the Sun Odyssey 52.2 "Principessa" provided by Euromarine. The boat was great and the weather perfect. We only had one problem in that our outboard motor would not work so we could not use the dinghy. I mentioned this to the Euromarine office at the Split Marina and they gave me a statement confirming that we could not use our dingy. They suggested I contact the Euromarine Zagreb office to request a credit on our charter fee do to the inoperable dingy.
I am wondering whether you should be contacting Euromarine on our behalf to request this credit? Pleaae advise me on this. I can send you a copy of the confirmation statement I received from them if necessary.

We were very happy with our week on the Elan 340. The Crew from Jadranka Yachting was very nice and ambitous, it was quite clear that they were also very experienced in sailing. The boat was in good condition, considering the season was already going for a long time.
The only downside was the construction of the single line reefing system for the main sail, which is to complicated to be repaired on sea.

A few information about our sailing holiday: To find Marina Mandalina in Sibenik was a little more difficult, than I expected. The signs on the road showing the direction are sometimes too small, but finally we got there.

Once in the marina, it was easy to find the office of Elementa Yachting. The staff in the office and at the boat was kind and helpful. We have finished formalities and hand over in less, than an hour. The boat was perfect, clean, in very good condition and equipped well. Based on the pictures sent by you and found on the net I got what I expected.
We have enjoyed our sailing holiday very much, we had good winds and some sunny days too. We have been to Rogoznica, Trogir, Primosten, Skradin and Sibenik. We saw nice landscapes, dolphins, many sailing ships and a few fortresses too.

At the end of the trip, hand over was again easy and fast, with the same helpful crew. In one word: perfect:)))
I had nothing to complain about. We have decided to do it next summer again - if we can afford!

WE were certainly very impressed with some of the beautiful sights we saw on the sailing trip - particularly Sipan, Miljet and Korcula.

On the negative side, the boat (Astarea) leaked water into our bed through the ceiling when it rained on the first day, so we had a wet bed to sleep in for the first few days. Also the engine had a lot of troubles and cut out on day 5 in the middle of bad winds so we were stranded for a couple of hours. The skipper (Jozo) didn't speak much English which made communication difficult - and when we finished a day early (Sun morning to Fri afternoon) he asked for 7 days payment, though we did eventually settle on 6.5.
Also the weather wasn't so good for a few days - but we can't blame you for this!!!!

Everything has been perfectly OK except the weather in North Adriatic and especially Kvarner area. And it was just during our cruise! Can not you control weather more efficiently?
I am joking of course. We have anyway several hours of real sailing going back from Porer to Cres against NE 6-8 wind.

Generally it was a good experience. It was some minor problems with organisation as the boat was not filled with diesel and a few technical minor thinks during the week. This was fixed by the skipper, which was a really good guy.
We missed a proper motor on the dingy, which was not ok. As we did not go to ACI Marina in Split as described in the agreement this made some problems regarding our cars which was parked in ACI. I guess the boat would need a shine up as it has been in charter for 3 years.
But as I said generally a good experince. Best regards

We had a v. good holiday and visited Brac, Hvar, Vis, & Solta. We had some good wind !!
When we arrived at lunchtime on 13th Sept the boat cleaning had just started so we had to wait till 1500 hrs before we got away to Milna. Adria Coral said that according to their Contract the boat did not need to be available till 1800hrs & it is going dark at 1900 hrs ! Anyway, we saw dolphins when we were just out of Split - we were happy then !
Just a couple of things about the boat : The instrument binnacle had been damaged in the past & we lost our depth at one stage - but we tried some tape & fixed it. The dinghy was not fully inflated and had a small tear in the floor which let water in. At least the sea was warm.
She did sail well with the wind at F4.
We have some v. good memories & nice photos.
We will be back - perhaps next year.

We had a great time on our charter. The skipper was great and perfect for our group. The boat was in great shape and was more than big enough for the four of us. We can’t wait to come back and do it again.

We had a terrific time on your yacht. Jerry was a perfect skipper, getting us where we needed to be when we wanted, and recommending certain ports or restaurants that were wonderful. The one thing I wasn’t expecting, and this was simply because I wasn’t familiar with that lifestyle, was that there’s a pretty large extra cost involved every day to moor the boat. This ended up requiring me to hit the cash machine every day and I found myself nervous about my finances put away. It is something you should add to your FAQs for sure. The other is that very few restaurants accept credit cards. This isn’t your problem, but it would have been greatly appreciated had I been aware of the way things are usually done in your country.

Again, we had a wonderful time, but warnings about these two things would have made it a much less anxious trip for all of us.

Hello, Sorry for the Delay, The charter was very nice and we enjoyed it very much. The boat was clean and well fitted for the sailing that we did and we enjoyed it. Check in and Check out were smooth as was the airport pickup/drop-off. The food procurement was fine, we asked for still water and got sparkling but other than that it was OK. All in all we very much enjoyed our time and would do it again!

I am sure I speak for all of us when I say that we were very impressed with the boat and the overall charter experience. I certainly intend to charter with you again as soon as I can get back over there, and I am sure the others would as well.
The pick up and drop off procedures were both very easy. The boat was clean, in very good condition, and I think had most of we needed for a safe and fun charter.
I must also say in particular that your help and responsiveness to all of our questions was fantastic.

The only two suggestions I have are as follows: 1. It would be ideal if one could get away on the first day earlier, say around 1300 to 1500 (although I understand that in certain circumstances you may not be able to turn the boat around that quickly if it had a back to back charter); and
2. For a big yacht with 6 persons on board, a larger tender with a decent size outboard engine would have been great.

I will give you my impression. Boat very good quality so no problem there. I think check in very slow process, must wait for captain to come and do check list . We all work stress jobs so want to do check in quickly so can leave quickly. Next time I think rental should start 3 pm and check in immediate so we can have enough time to get to hvar . Otherwise good service and great boat. One more thing no lighter on board to light stove so first night we cannot cook dinner. Perhaps you should include in inventory list because we don't smoke

Overall the charter was good; however we had to wait 3 hours for an outboard to be made available for the tender so we were a little late at setting off Friday evening. We had no major problems with the yacht, although there were signs that the sails were lacking some maintenance with leach lines being broken on both sails.

Hi Mirjani, We had a fabulous holiday and would use the charter company again. But since you ask, there were a few issues: 1. The anchor was not secured to the yacht. So when we put the anchor all the way out, the anchor and chain fell to the bottom of the sea. They brought us out a new one but tried to charge us for it. After a lot of negotiation, we agreed to contribute 250 Euros as a good will gesture. We left on good terms, and the marina boss did agree to knock 250 euros off any future charters we take with them. However, we lost a days sailing through no fault of our own. 2. The freezer did not work, so we had no ice for our gin and tonics! Otherwise it was a fabulous boat and the staff at the marina were really very friendly.

thank you for asking our opinion on this. I do not have any complains what so ever, cause everything went better than planned for us due to changed boat (from older to brand new). Service was excellent starting your contacts to Jusa continuing all the way until last contact by taxi with Marco. One think that was helpful for us was the guidance in a A4 document form, as we received this *road-plan* before we took of to the sea. That was good, and if that would have been slightly more precise eg. coordination of the places mentioned, some further details about the places etc. that would have been even more practical information in a compact form.

All the best and I m looking forward for the next sailing in Croatia already!

the skipper was really great - he was genuinely interested in us and ensured that we got what we wanted from our holiday.

The boat itself was fine but the dinghy was small (it only took 3 people comfortably) and we had problems with the outboard (owner said petrol tank needed to be kept more than half full)

We were very pleased with the yacht charter and everything went smoothly. Can you have a look and see what boats you have avilable for next July in greece. We would like to charter a slightly more luxurious boat between 50-60ft (for upto 8 people).

Thank you for your mail messages and I am sorry to answer you today only but I was abroad for business trip. Regarding the charter vacation in Croatia our comments are positive and we are satisfied by the services offered. We have had a very nice trip and visited all the islands between Split and Mliet, and the weather was always good. When we arrived in Trogir the chartered boat was ready in the morning already and the staff was very kind. The only complaint we have is about the boat, which in spite of its age (3rd season only) had almost all the electronic devices out of service. Luckily they were not so important for the cruise, but we could count only on the speed and depth instruments, while autopilot and wind instruments were unusable. Now it is too early to say what we shall do on next summer vacations, but please keep me informed for your offer for 2005.

From your or Mario's end it could not be better. Everything was handled very well and I am extremally happy. Mario was very nice and helpfull and everything was handled in a swift and efficient manner. The only thing which could be improved is the infrastructure. It was surprising that places like Makarska or Hvar do not have facilities for sailors given their tourism orientation.

We are very satisfied with our sailing in Croatia this year! We had a nice boat comparing to the nice price, You gave us good information and fast response from the moment we got in contact. The weather was nice , adriacoral was nice and helpful and gave us a fair treatment when we had some minor damages on the boat, your people are nice, polite and eager to please, We are impressed that you take so good care of your country, nice and clean all over, and the nature and the islands are made for sailing .

Some small complaints just to give you some constructive feedback:
• We did not get the gennaker we were supposed to have , it was damaged and a new one could not be found.
• The weatherforecast is a bit difficult to find in English when you want to avoid the big marinas.
• Adriacoral was not informed that we had paid too much for the boat , and could not withdraw the difference for the final cleaning.

• I suppose we will contact you again next time we are going to Croatia.

Our group had a fantastic time in Croatia and we were all overwhelmed at the beauty of the islands and the water. We also really enjoyed the boat, finding it very spacious and easy to sail. There were a few problems that cost us a little time in getting fixed after we picked up the boat (broken outboarder, burned out lights), and the propane tank that ran out in the middle of cooking dinner on our last night. Those things should have been checked before we took the boat out. Adria Coral was very good to compensate us for those problems. They were very helpful. None of us had chartered in Europe before, and we were surprised and very nervous at maneuvering the boat in the extremely crowded and narrow marinas. Getting the boat out of the Dubrovnik marina was challenging! We were dreading having to come back in to the marina in Split, but luckily we survived. Our only other complaint was how expensive everything was for us. This is due to the weak dollar, of course, so it was bad timing on our part. Other than that we had an amazing time and will have incredible memories from our time in Croatia.

My girlfriend and I had a great sailing trip. The boat and the service we received were of the very highest quality. We were able to check-in very late and the team in Zadar were very helpful when our travel plans changed at the last minute. One of the team in Zadar (I think it was Denis) helped us to plan out a great route.
We will definately use Yacht Base and ASTA again.

The boat was very nice, the service excellent (especially in case when our main sail was a little bit broken), the cruise was nice except ... weather ;) I really would like to repeat this cruise once again, as soon as possible and recomend your firm to my friends.

Thanks for the email and I definitely have some feedback as follows:
• You, Mirjana absolutely superb, faultless to say the least
• The base in Split, superb, great guys organised and on to it.
• The base at Dubrovnik was extremely disappointing why;
-The boat hadn't been filled with water, we ran out after two days.
- There were no rollocks, the bits that hold the oars so we couldn't row the dinghy.
- The anchor winch had cracks around the base so we had to nurse it.
- The diesil was 1/4 full, they really should be supplied at pickup full and returned as such.
- There was only one towel and no tea towels, luckily we had our own with us.
• Once again Mirjana you have been great , you consistently went above and beyond and were superb.
• The boat itsef was great, well setup and sailed well.

One last thing, when the boats are picked up why don't you supply a clear envelope with the latest / long term weather forecast and have a shed on a specific channel on VHF at 7pm or am each night to update the boats out on charter with any warnings and weather updates, it was really hard getting the weather in detail on the vhf, food for thought anyway.
lastly Croatia is incredible, what a special place, we look forward to returning to explore it further.
