This year, the best windsurfing competitors in the world in the "Formula windsurfing" discipline will come to Croatia. Pelješac, or the town of Viganj to be more precise, will host the world championship from 8 to 13 July 2013.  ISAF-A, International Sailing Federation, has chosen Viganj as a host (another candidate was San Francisco) due to its perfect windsurfing conditions. As Mario Roso, president of Bofor club, says: "There is plenty of wind, you can windsurf in Viganj all year long, our references were exceptional, and we met every one of ISAF’s requirements".

This summer, from June 15th to September 12th, tourists from Moscow can fly to the Zadar airport on a regular air route. This airline introduced by the company S7 (Siberia 7) will definitely make one, if not two flights a week. So far the travellers from Russian territory have been arriving via charter flights, but now the situation has been completely changed due to the introduction of a regular route. The collaboration is the result of the visit of Russian and Belarusian tourist workers during which they discovered the area of Zadar and its tourist potential.

A survey recently conducted by TEST ACHAT/TEST AANKOOP, the leading Belgian market research institution, has shown that Croatia is Belgium's favourite destination for summer vacation. In the survey, conducted on a sample of 3,236 respondents, Croatia was awarded 86 out of 100 points, thus placing first on the list of favourite tourist destinations and beating out many prestigious and famous destinations.
According to this survey, Belgians like the country's landscape, pristine nature and sea, reasonable prices and many attractions and points of interest that can be found in Croatia.

Between 09 and 12 May 2013 Sibenik will host the fifth boat show under the motto "Fali more, drz' se broda". This year, the venue is no longer the Mandalina marina, but the centre of Sibenik, the Sibenik waterfront. Approval for carrying out this event in the historical core of Sibenik has been given by the director of the County Port, Zeljko Dulibic, because this institution manages a part of the port area where it will take place.

According to a report by the European Environment Agency, the quality of Croatian sea, together with the seas of Malta and Cyprus, is rated as the best. As Mihael Zmajlović, the Minister of Environmental and Nature Protection, emphasized, this is the result of various projects oriented towards wastewater treatment and the prevention of wastewater discharge in the sea.This helps to protect the sea and marine biodiversity.

Norwegian low cost company Norwegian Air Shuttle established a new base at London Gatwick airport, offering 12 flights from that airport, including two flights to Croatia.
New routes to Croatia include direct flights to Dubrovnik and Split, flying Saturdays from April 6 to October 26, 2013. The lowest ticket prices will be L29.90.

Due to the lack of fuel stations on our coast, especially those intended for boaters, and their inadequate working hours, the company "Crno zlato" (Black gold) has decided to install "Flash" floating stations. First such station was installed in the marina Frapa, while another one is located in the marina Kaštela. The third station is to be installed in the marina Veruda near Pula. The plan is to set up another ten stations along the Adriatic coast. The stations have a tank capacity of 40 tons and offer Eurosuper 95 BS and Eurodiesel BS. Customers can fill their tanks at the speed of 130 litres per minute without leaving their vessels. Two vessels can be refuelled at the same time.

Fiumanka 2013 is a sailing manifestation that gathers almost 200 sailing boats and over 2000 participants every year. This year it will be held in the city of Rijeka from June 13 to June 16.
This will be the 14th Fiumanka, an event considered as unmissable among lovers of sailing and sailing boats from Croatia and abroad.

Navigation and sailing are beautiful. The sun, the sea, wind, bathing...
