We had a fantastic trip. The parts of Croatia we saw are all wonderful. Really beautiful with such history and friendly people. We kept on being given figs (fresh from the tree). Your food had flavour! Loved all of the fruit and vegetables. Over here it is 'fresh frozen'. Yuk. I had forgotten how good tomatoes and cucumbers, in particular tasted. And the colour of the water, and and and . . .

Attached is a picture of me in one of my favourite places (I loved the feel of the paving stones in Pucisca; wanted to bring one home with me) — tho most of the places we visited became my favourite. I'm fickle. We did anchor most nights, but used the lazy lines here so that we could fill up with water. Only other time we stayed alongside was at Trogir to make it easy for Ali to get a 6am taxi to the airport.

Thanks for all of your help. We had a fabulous holiday that we'll never forget.

Just wanted to send you a quick note to say thank you for all your help in arranging our trip. We had an absolutely wonderful experience! All generally went well! A few "constructive criticism" items relative to my 6 experiences with SunSail in the Caribbean:
- Providing a stronger overview of the sailing area and recommended places to go would be useful (there are so many places to choose from, for a new person to the area it is tough to decide)
- Would recommend the boat briefing include a few more specifics on technical items. For example, it took me 30 minutes to figure out the VHF radio / had to read the manual to understand how to simply change stations (the one on Navicula Blue is not "user friendly", although a very good device)

Of course, I appreciated your and others assistance in advance and found it very helpful.

Thank you. All went very well. Orlando was helpful and very pleasant to work with. We did have a problem with the genoa halyard breaking and no way to fix in the islands but the weather was calm, so we decided to motor for the last 2 days.

Your country is lovely and people were charming and helpful .Especially you and your company. We shall definately come back. Hopefully next year.

We had a very enjoyable weeks sailing.

Your service in arranging things was always excellent with prompt responses to our many questions.

The boat was slightly disappointing, and it is a bit tired with a number of issues which relate more to minor maintenance than any major problems. Things such as light in our bathroom not working, shower curtain broken, curtains broken in several areas, skylight inner blinds broken in several cabins, and so forth. Certainly not enough to spoil our holiday, but irritating.

The skipper however was pleasant and very capable and the hostess Jaelka was excellent.

So all in all a success, thank you.

Dear Mirjana, Thank you for arranging holidays in September. On the way it happens some disapointing things which force us to change our planes. Any way... The skipper Bruno was great! He really nice skipper and the person. He become a member of the team. Especially girls love him.:)

Generally I was satisfied with the quality of service provided but there were some minor issues. For instance I was asked to fill the tank upon arrival although I was ready to pay for missing fuel. I am not experienced skipper therefore additional moorings is not what I was dreaming about on vacation... The yacht was good but radio was not working properly and spinnaker pole fixed to the mast was a big obstacle for genoa rig in sailing..

We had a lovely vacation sailing in Croatia. We had actually no complaints with regards to the charter and can say that everything we needed worked. Maybe our skipper missed something but he seemed ok with everything as well. We were also extremely pleased with his service and knowledge and that I am sure made the trip extremely pleasant and relaxed for everyone. I was also very happy with the service when I made the booking also. All in all we were very pleased and look forward to coming back again!!

We all enjoyed our sailing trip to Croatia this summer. It was the highlight of our 8 weeks away in Europe. We hummed and haaed about whether to hire a skipper beforehand as most of us had sailing experience. We were glad that we did, it really made for a stressfree holiday. Bruno was great company, made us feel very safe, showed us some enchanting places and was very flexible and patient with our foibles. As for the boat - it was very well presented but the bilge pump nearly drove us mad. Some days it went every few minutes - we thought that the fresh water tank was leaking into the bilges. It would have been a problem had we not been in a marina regularly every few days. The kettle was unusable as it leaked steam round the handle. Fortunately having arrived in a camper van we used our own. The dinghy paddles had been fixed at the wrong angle and there was no seat which made rowing virtually impossible, especially single handed. Regarding the arrangements for booking, arriving etc my only comment is that I missed the Skipper's contract which came with the yacht voucher. I did not realise that he should have been paid in cash on arrival. I thought I would be able to pay with a card with the other costs at the marina. The only other thing I would mention is perhaps a note on the website that you speak English and an indicative price for marinas/moorings. Many thanks for a great and memorable holiday.

I'll gladly give you some informations. it is a few years now that we go sailing in Croatia, and this charter experience was probably the best so far. We were really pleased with the conditions of the boat - usually there are some minor problems, while this time the boat was kept in tiptop conditions even if we were at the end of the season and even if the boat was not new. Also the people there were really helpful: they seem to really know the boat and keep it well, and also they were really helpful in offering good advice on where to sail and where to moor. I will definitely consider you again when booking future holidays and recommend it to friends.

I would like to thank you for the recommended charter, he was all right, we got the sail boat on time, was clean and everything worked. That our holiday was very nice and have rewarded us even dolphins between Raab and Cres island accompanied only downside was our toilet the 4 days before the end is clogged. Unfortunately for the charter company requires compensation in the amount of 500 kuna and we've paid for. I am the opinion that things are normal use and should pay for the boat owner.

Hi....yes the holiday went well....the boat did have a few issues...we lost all auxilliary electrics and Detoni sent out a man to repair...we had to divert our route so that he could make the repairs....once he was done we then lost our speedo. The boat was also leaking water from the hot water boiler...so that wasn't ideal either. We left the boat spotless and would have been more pleased if Detoni had waived the expensive cleaning fee which would have made us feel a little better about the loss of the auxilliary power and the diversion. Otherwise...we had an enjoyable holiday...and we appreciate your follow up.

We probably will have a 2 week sailing holiday next year in Croatia.

Our holiday was wonderful thank you - we loved croatia and sailing was the perfect way to experience the georgous coastline. Our skipper Damir was really good and very professional. Our boat was comfortable although we did have a few problems to being with where things did not work. We had to turn back an hour or two into our trip because the steering wheel was broken and our shower flooded because the pump was so full of hair! Lucky we had Damir with us and he sorted everything out. Damir certainly did not think the company had maintained their boats very well and said he would not sail with them again. If we had not had Damir with us to speak croatian to the marina people I think we would have had a very difficult time. We enjoyed sailing around croatia imenseley and would love to come back and do it again at some stage in the future. If we do return we would certainly recommend yacht-base. Thank you for all your help in booking our boat and skipper - it was certainly the best holiday we have had in a very long time.

Yes we had a nice vacation and we have been very satisfied with your excellent service and the boat. And we can't imagine that anyone would not be impressed by this wonderful sailing area. But there was one thing, we were not happy about: the high charges in the marinas, especially the extraordinary high charges in the Kornati National Park. We think that 130,00 EUR per night for a 38 feet boat is - to put it mildly - not particularly suitable for attracting tourists to a second visit. We have never before paid such high charges neither here in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands nor in more expensive sailing regions like Spain, Italy or France. Of course this is nothing you have to be held responsible for. But at least you should know that this problem is even mentioned in German sailing-magazines as a big drawback of sailing in Croatia.

Nevertheless we would like to come back. Once again - thank you for everything!

Cara Ana , scusa la risposta alla tua mail in ritardo, volevo dirti con piacere che abbiamo passato una vacanza splendida. La barca era pulita ed in ordine e lo Staff di Split gentile e cordiale. Il mare ed i posti, meravigliosi. Durante le vacanze di Natale cerchero' di organizzare un altra vacanza credo sempre in Croazia ed ovviamente in barca. Sara' inoltre un piacere utilizzare la tua agenzia come appoggio. Ti volevo chiedere se avevi in qualche altro porto barche simili a quella utilizzata da noi o eventualmente situazioni che ci potrebbero interessare, ormai conosci le nostre esigenze di prezzo e grandezza barca. Just to signify that Mr. Mennuni, Mr. Comandini, Mr. Ciccarelli and theirs argentinian guest was very happy about the charter in Croatia. The S.O.52.2 is old and they had some problems, but the base manager and Ana (his assistant) did all to arrange problems. I want to take a moment to reply to your request – as I mentioned in an earlier email we had a fantastic trip. I genuinely appreciated your help in arranging the boat, answering my questions and specifically your gentle reminders regarding payments. The only suggestions I would make would be (1) advise people to bring enough cash to pay the skipper as I made an assumption I could wire him money but ended up going to several cash machines during the week and (2) advise people who are filling the boat capacity about the size of the crew’s quarters. I wouldn’t want to spend a week in there and I can’t imagine a skipper would either.

Dear Mrs. Kostadina, Sorry for my late reply. We had an excellent vacation. We loved the boat. A Grand Soleil sails so much better than a Bavaria. The service at the Marina was very good. We found it difficult to plan a good route for the vacation. Some example routes and recommendations for city harbors, marina's and bays would help. Your service was also very much appreciated. It is always a bit scary to book through the internet but the professional proces and your responses gave me the necessary confidence and also after the booking everything went smoothly.

we really like our cruise in Croatia the choice of islands are amazing, we sailed from Sukosan to Dubrovink and back. Personnaly I also liked the wather conditions... a lot of strong wind but at the end a lot of miles... some peolpe of my crew were a bit scared about the wind. We had a problem with the genoa but it was fixed by the elan yachting team in Split. The boat had some littles problem in the inside fourniture but it was really good for sailing.

Zahvaljujemo na vašem pitanju i usluzibili smo zadovoljni i uživali smo tjedan dana.malo nam vrijeme nije bilo naklonjeno, ali sve je bilo dobro. Moj prijedolog je da vlasnicima katarmarana proslijedite da bi trebali imati kvalitetnije noževe , suđe na brodu, tave, posude itd. Ponekad se nešto priprema iz gušta na brodu

Generalno je sve bilo Ok, osim što je na brodu konstantno bilo problema sa začepljivanjem sanitarnog čvora, ali smo uspjeli sami otkloniti kvar (nakon podosta muke). U charteru su bili ljubazni i profesionalni, nije bilo nikakvih drugih problema. Što se samog procesa rezervacije tiče, sve je bilo u redu, nemamo nikakvih primjedbi i prigovora. Odlično je bilo što smo mogli vidjeti brod prije preuzimanja Sljedeće godine svakako planiramo jedrenje tako da ćemo vam se javiti. Moguće je čak da odemo i na još neku rutu kasnije ove godine (krajem listopada), ali za to ću vas kontaktirati ako se dogovorimo s društvom.

As for the weather - it was alright for the most part. The wind conditions could have been better - some days it was 0 knots and some it was blowing 30-40 knots.

As for your services - everything was perfect.

As for Croatia - it was my fourth time there and I like both the country and the people. Beautiful nature, good service, tasty food. Although it is quiet expensive, especially if you compare to Greece. But I can see that such price policy is good for the country's economy... Anyway, thank you very much again for your services and hope to do business with you again!
